April This and That

April flew by with lots of Easter activities and family events.  AJ's dad also got very sick and was hospitalized.  He has heart problems for a while.  AJ went to be with his mom in dad in VA for a week and a half and mommy was in charge of holding down the fort.  Of course Miss A got sick and was not able to go to daycare and Nana and Poppy were out of town, so it was one of those "when it rains, it pours" times.  But we made it and still managed to create some pretty awesome memories along the way.

Daddy was out of town for work so mommy and Mr. P got a little silly with the camera.Love these quiet moments with my little guy when Miss A is napping.

Mommy and Daddy got a RARE date night.  We headed south to see Kari Jobe and Rend Collective.  Rend Collevtive is the hubbies favorite Christian artist.  Mr. P is also a big fan.  I think he was more excited than we were that Mommy and Daddy were going to see them.  We brought him back a bracelet and he loved it! But he really loved the pictures and videos we brought back.

It was a fantastic night of worship and a great time with my other half, and a few friends.  It was also a much needed battery charger.

It has taken us two seasons to get a hold of this pool for the kids.  Last year I tried to get one and waited about a week too long.  (They just won't fit in my little car) They had no more...anywhere...in two counties.  Apparently, they do not restock this item. So, when it is gone, it's gone.  Lesson learned and we had Nana on the look out for one right away.  I am so glad we snagged one.  The kids love it and no worries about inflating, or holes.

My aunt and uncle live in Alaska and came down for a visit for a few days.  We went out to our little local beach and it was Miss A's first time at the beach.  She LOVED it.  I think she would have run up and down the beach all day if I would have let her.  She also wanted to keep going deeper and deeper into the water.  You have to really watch her, she is my dare devil!

Mr. P was quite content too.  He has always loved the beach too.  Mommy and Daddy are not such fans so we don't get there very often.

We ended the day with a picnic at Nana and Poppy's house.

Skipping Easter...and on to Daddy being out of town...AGAIN!  Daddy headed to Virginia to be with his mom and dad because his dad was not doing well in the hospital.  He stayed for the heart surgery and was gone about a week and a half.

We made the most of the time daddy was gone and mommy had to be off work.  Spent an afternoon at a local playground the kids had never been too.  They had a great time and we had the park to ourselves.  That made me much more comfortable with Miss A trying to climb EVERYTHING!  And it was a beautiful day with my babies that I don't normally get.

He really does love his little sister so much.  And she loves him right back.

I can't believe how big my babies are getting.  13 months and almost 5 years.

So happy to be sliding with big brother.

Miss A actually climbed this too.  Can't let big brother do more than her.  I'm in trouble!

Mr. P took this one for us!

This is what being a Mommy is all about!  I love these too and I treasure every moment.  Despite mommy having to take extra time off of work we found the rainbow in the storm.  Just look at these happy faces!!

And that is a little this and a little than from April!

Annual Disney Family Camping Trip 2014

I LOVE our annual family camping trip!  Every year our "family" seems to grow and it just adds to the fun.  This year we had 6 kids ranging from about 4 months old to 5 years old.  We also got to include my grandmother this year.  She had never been to Disney before so it was super fun to show her around and have her with us.
These two always get along so well.

Nana with her girls.

These are our two Miss A's and they are fast becoming great friends!

Dad made a cornhole game to be able to take with us.  Lots of fun!

Thank goodness for the "cage."  She didn't spend all that much time in it, but it was super nice to have a place to put her and know she was not running into the road when I needed to do something.

Lots of bike riding!

and LOTS of golf cart rides!!

Celebrated my birthday, Mr. T's birthday and Miss A's birthday.  March is a month full of birthdays.

Trying on Aunt Dawn's hair clip.

The 3 amigos waiting patiently for the Electric Light Parade and Fireworks.  Don't let the picture fool you.  They only sat down for about 2 minutes the whole time. :)

Hotel hopping day!

Cousins!!

Nana and Mr. M our youngest camper.

Uncle Brian and Aunt Kim joined us and things always get crazy when they are around!

Campfire, smores, chip and dale and a movie.  Classic Disney fun!

Tried to get a picture of the two of them together with a horse but Mr. P just wanted to run around with the boys.  Go figure!

My little climber...she is into everything.  Don't tell her she can't cause she will prove you wrong every time.

More splash park fun.

She wanted to slide sooooo bad but she couldn't do it by herself.

Thank goodness for awesome cousins and a great big brother.

Uncle James has been deployed over seas for the last year.  He finally got home and was able to come visit us for a few days.  Daddy and Mr. P were very happy.

Sisters in Law

Someone enjoyed their icecream!

5 Great Grand Children

A few games at the arcade is a requirement.

He made like 6 baskets in a row.

Last stop of the trip is Downtown Disney and the Lego Store.

Mommy's creation.

It was a great trip despite Mr. P having an ear infection.  The weather held up with only one afternoon of stormy weather.  We are so blessed to have family that truly enjoy spending time together and making memories.  Can't wait for next years trip!
