Easter 2013

Ash Wednesday - Hubby is the Christian Education Director at our church so he was helping our pastor apply the ashes.  It brought tears to my eyes and his when he did Price's ashes and said "From ashes you came and to ashes you will return."

We spent Good Friday dying and decorating Easter Eggs.  I picked up this cute kit from Target.  Mr. P loves pirates so I knew he would enjoy decorating the eggs to look like pirates.  The colors were not super vibrant, but once you got the eggs decorated they turned out really cute.

The Easter Bunny came and Mr. P awoke to his basket and hidden eggs.

Mr. P had left carrots out for the Easter Bunny, and was thrilled to find that he had eaten some of them.  Although he was kind of upset that he had not eaten all of them.

Easter is not Easter without our "Egg McMommies," a tradition started with my own parents.  However, this year they were "Egg McDaddies", since Miss A was nursing when it was time to get breakfast going.

We attended church after breakfast.  My brother and fiancé joined us.  I love the Flowering of the Cross.  This year, Mr. P got to help.

We ended the day by hosting Easter Dinner at our house.  YEAH!  I love hosting a holiday at our own house and having everyone in.  This year my parents joined us.

A little after dinner swinging with Poppy before dessert.

One of my favorite desserts to make.  My Tres Leche Cake..  It's gets even better the longer it sits in the fridge.

HAPPY EASTER!!  HE IS RISIN!
