Miss A's Pink Elephant 1st Birthday

The Saturday after Miss A turned ONE we threw a Pink Elephant 1st Birthday Party for her.  Lots of friends and family helped us celebrate!
~Picture Heavy Post~

Miss A all decked out in her pink elephant attire.  These two adorable pictures were taken by Melissa Mitchell Photography. If you are local, she takes great pictures at very affordable prices and she always captures the cutest pictures of the kids!   I took a dress Miss A already had and cut out a pink elephant on my Silhouette Cameo, then used spray fabric glue and just ironed it on.  Threw a pair of cute pink leggings on under it and she was ready to party the day away!

I can't believe how much she has grown in just one short year!

I kept the food pretty simple this time around and didn't theme too much of it.  It's kind of hard when it's pink elephants.

I made the cake and cupcakes myself.  I LOVE how the cake turned out and I have determined that cupcakes are soooo much easier to serve than cutting up a cake!

For the smash cake I did a ribbon icing.  I used paper straws, twine and pink elephants cut on my Silhouette to make the topper and I loved how it was sweet and simple.

Just waiting for the smash cake.  I made the tulle skirt myself.  Just pink tulle slip knotted onto twine and then taped around the highchair.

Hanging out with Great Grandma!!

I got this present opening thing down. :)

Even a little something for big brother.  ;)

Time for cake!!  She was not happy to have that crown on her head!!

Mr. P is such a good brother.  He was so excited to share this day with her and did everything he could to help her have a great day!

Who needs forks?!?

Love these two special Littles!!

All done!!

4 generations of family!  You have to look at both the pictures to see the each kid cooperate for one picture. :)

Tea time with Nana!

Oh Look, Uncle Brian and Aunt Kim were there too.  ;)

All the pink elephant printable were from Papercuts Party Shop.  They had great service and the turn around time was super fast.  I ordered the kit and didn't even end up using everything in it, but mostly because I ran out of time.  It all printed out great and was easy to cut and work into my party decorations.

And that's how you throw a Pink Elephant 1st Birthday Party.  Whew!  I always go way over board on my planning and then get mad at myself for not getting it all done.  Then people show up and say "oh, what a great party"  and my husband says "See, no one even knew that you didn't do, make, design X."  I know, but I love throwing a great party and I love the organization and creativity of event planning.  ;)
