Annual Disney Camping Trip

Ok.  So this post might be a little late....ok, a LOT late.  Some how it just kept getting pushed down the post list.  But...it was a blast and I want to make sure it is included since this blog is a record of our year.  So, here ya go.
Back in Early April (yes, April...I know, I know.)  We took a big family camping trip to Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground.  This is a trip that my family use to take when we were growing up.  My brothers and I are super excited to be able to include this tradition with our families now too.
Last year when we took the trip we only needed one camp site.  This year we had three sites and my cousin and his family joined us too.  This made for 5 children all under the age of 4.  3 of them were 3 year old boys all within 6 months of each other.  What fun!!
We stayed 4 nights and 5 days.  There is so much to do on Disney property that we didn't even need to go into the parks to enjoy our stay.  Oh, did I mention that Miss A. was only 1 month old.  Yep, and she was a champ.
It rained for much of our first two days....I mean poured torrential down pours, then Price got sick and was throwing up and had an upset tummy...like wash the bedding 2 times (once in the middle of the night) upset tummy.  Mommy caught it too and I was so wore out by the end of the trip.  I think there were a few other mishaps but all in all the trip was such fun that the others have faded from memory already.  LOL!

There was LOTS of bike riding.  Here Miss Kim is giving the boys the low down on where they can ride.

Another Miss A.  Can't wait for both Miss A's to be able to play together!

There are several wonderful playgrounds right in the campground.  The boys loved them.

This is where Miss A. spent most of her time if she was not nursing.  At a month old she did pretty darn good for such a big trip.

Getting some time in at the Splash Park in between rain storms.

We like to hotel hop and check out all the different areas.  It was a great thing to do during all the rain storms and the kids all enjoy riding the different transportation to get between hotels.

It was right after Easter so Uncle Brian and Miss Kim put together a little egg hunt for the kids, and Nana provided some cute Easter Baskets.

Doesn't she look so excited about her Easter basket goodies?!?

Cutie Pie!!

We teamed up the families and each took a different night of cooking.  We mostly used the crock pots so after a long day of playing we had yummy meals ready to go.

Fort Wilderness has a great little areas with horses both small and the large ones they use for pulling the wagons over in the Magic Kingdom.

The Three Amigos.  I am so excited to watch these boys grow up together.  They each have such unique talents and get along quite well.

Some more time on one of the playgrounds.

Hooping it up with Poppy.

Waiting on the Electrical Water Parade to start.  It does not begin until about 10pm so the boys had to stay up quite late.  Mommy missed out on this one, it was our last night there and I was still adjusting to having a newborn so I was wiped out.  Mr. P. did his best despite not feeling good most of the time.  It's hard not to be happy at Disney surrounded by all of our family!

There it is.  I love this picture.  So much joy!

A group shot.

The boys ended their time "building a fire."  I wish I would have gotten a picture of their final "fire" because it was HUGE.  They drug this giant (for them) log over to the pile.  It took all three of them to carry it and by golly they did with out any adult telling them how.  We did make them remove all the sticks before we left so the park people didn't have to deal with a random, huge pile of sticks when they cleaned up the sites. :)

I love this family trip that is becoming a yearly tradition.  We are already planning for next.  We will be adding a child to my brothers family and it will be their turn to have to "new born" on the trip. :)

Time Flies When You're Having Fun...

At least that is how the saying goes.  Have you missed me?  I sure have missed blogging.  It's not that I didn't try like 100 times to sit down and write about what was going on but it seemed like there was always a MILLION other things that needed my time and attention.  We had a great summer and a ton of fun.  Now, to get it all documented.  Stay tuned because I have Summer Bucket List items to check off, a Vow Renewal,  a Mickey Mouse Birthday party, VBS, a bridal shower and back to school to blog about.  Not to mention Miss A. is growing, growing like crazy (and really needs to slow down).  I leave you now with this picture.
