So, I might be a little behind in my posts. It might be May and I am posting about Easter, but hey...I have a newborn at home. :)
We started our Easter Celebrations a little early with an egg hunt at Mrs. Donna's and Mr. Lance's house. They are always so much fun to visit and Mr. P enjoys playing with their son.
On Palm Sunday we had an Easter Egg hunt at our church. Due to torrential downpours of rain we had to have an indoor cook out and our egg hunt was in the Sanctuary. Our awesome youth helped "hide" the eggs among the pews.
Instead of taking hours of time to stuff 100's of eggs, my hubby (the family ministries director) wrote letters on them. The kids had to find the right eggs to spell "Jesus Lives." then they could redeem their eggs for a goodies bag. I think it also helped remind the kids about the true meaning of Easter. (and it cut down on the big kids finding all the eggs before the little ones had a chance.)
